Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF) and Mortgage Manager (TPS DEPARTMENT)

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Products, the position holder will be responsible for the strategic development, performance management, and continuous innovation of the bank’s secured lending product portfolio, in line with TPS Strategy.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the Annual Business Plans for VAF and Mortgage roducts including construction mortgage to achieve agreed strategic targets.
  • Develops and execute product strategies for vehicle asset finance and mortgage portfolios.
  • Identifies customer needs and market trends to design or enhance products and features.
  • Leads the development and rollout of new propositions, product variants, and process improvements.
  • Checks and monitors the implementation of budget, identifies variances, and develops action plans.
  • Develops products in compliance with RBM regulations and Bank’s policies and approved product development plan.
  • Identifies VAF and Mortgage service gaps in the market based on feedback from new business meetings, staff meetings, market surveys, marketing intelligence reports, regional and international trends and offerings and submits recommendations to Head of Products.
  • Generates and implements innovative product ideas based on research and an understanding of the Customer needs in liaison with Business Units.
  • Drives adoption of digital platforms for applications, approvals, and disbursements.
  • Enhances customer journeys for secured lending by collaborating with digital and process teams.
  • Monitor product performance including volume, revenue, NPLs, margins, and market share.

Qualifications, Experience and desired competences

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business management, Finance, Economics or related field from recognized tertiary institutions.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in lending product management, credit risk, or retail/SME banking.
  • Certification in Product management.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle and mortgage financing, credit lifecycle, and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in product development, pricing, and digital channel integration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact, negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
