  1. Tutors for  ABE,  ABM, ICAM, CIPS,  Certificate  & Diploma  Programmes (3 positions)
  2. Coordinator of  Programmes (1 position)

ShareWORLD Open University is a registered and accredited University by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE). The University’s major objective is to offer various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes/ courses intended to train leaders for Malawi and abroad.   The University has over 60 members of staff on board and enrolls approximately 300 students in these programmes in a year.

 

The University  is running Certificate and  Diploma Programmes  in conjunction  with  well-known  professional bodies, i.e. ABE, ABM,  ICAM,  CIPS, etc.,  as part of  its  expansion strategy and  in order   to  increase student enrolment.  In  view of the above,   it  has  become  necessary   to  recruit   Tutors for  the Courses in these Programmes   and  an  internal Coordinator  to  manage  these Certificate and Diploma  Programmes  separately  from  other University activities.

 

Major duties and responsibilities: 

1) Tutors will be  responsible for  facilitating,  advising  and  organizing teaching courses in the following disciplines,

  • Computing & Information Systems
  • Social & Community Development
  • Business Management

 

2) The Coordinator shall consolidate all program initiatives and ensuring that activities regarding the professional courses are properly followed up. These will among other things include: monitoring implementation of program practices and guidelines, managing staff work assignments, workloads and work schedules, e.g. time tables, examinations and coordinating interactions between students and all other program stakeholders.

 

Preferable knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Coordinator with BSc. /BA Degree in Education and/or other related qualification.
  • Tutors with Degree  or  orientation  with  Professional bodies  above disciplines
  • Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
