Role Description – Van Salesman (Zomba)

We are hiring a Van Salesman based in Zomba to join our dynamic sales team. This is a full-time, field-based role ideal for someone energetic, responsible, and goal-oriented.

The Van Salesman will be responsible for selling our range of FMCG products on acash basis, delivering stock using company vehicles, servicing customers along designated routes, and submitting daily reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell FMCG products on the spot during van rounds
• Load, deliver, and offload stock using company vans
• Ensure daily cash collection and accurate banking
• Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent service
• Monitor stock movement and report discrepancies
• Submit daily sales reports and maintain proper records
• Meet or exceed assigned sales targets

Minimum Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or related field
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit to lift and handle goods
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in FMCG van sales or distribution
• Familiarity with Zomba’s retail customer base and trading patterns
• Knowledge of basic inventory and route planning
