Product Analyst (TPS DEPARTMENT)

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Products, the position holder will be responsible for Analysing product performance, customer behaviour, market trends and Global trends to help improve existing products and develop new banking solutions, aligned to TPS Strategy.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Collects, analyses, and interprets data to provide actionable insights for product development and enhancement.
• Evaluates market trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to guide product strategies.
• Tracks product performance indicators, such as adoption rates, profitability, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement.
• Identifies gaps or inefficiencies and recommends feature updates or enhancements to better meet customer needs
• Conducts market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
• Analyses international banking product trends and recommend what can work for NBS Bank in regional and local market.
• Analyses and prepare bank pricing schedule and recommend pricing models to use for the bank product profitability.
• Analyses customer feedback and test results and refine products before launch.
• Ensures that products are designed with a deep understanding of customer behaviour and expectation
• Works with product managers and developers to design and improve financial products.
• Tracks transactional fees to ensure all fees are being collected by the system, if manually collected coordinate with ICT to automate fees.
• Checks implementation of fees in the system in collaboration with ICT.
• Provide recommendations on new product opportunities based on emerging market trends locally and internationally.

Qualifications, Experience and desired competences

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems or any related field from recognized tertiary institutions.
• Minimum of 2 years experience handling similar roles is a fast paced banking Financial institution.
• Proven experience of developing and delivering clear, accurate and relevant reports to aid decision making
• Strong analytical and numerical aptitude.
• Experience of using SQL (Structured Query Language) or T-SQL
• Excellent Data manipulation skills in Advanced Excel.
