Background
The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawian (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for better health. Job Description
- To provide strategic leadership and oversight to the planning, Monitoring and Evaluation function, ensuring alignment with the Fund’s strategic goals and objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing operations in the Planning Division.
- Developing and implementing the Fund’s Strategic Plan.
- Overseeing the preparation and coordination of annual budgets and work plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of strategic and operational plans, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Providing strategic advice to the CEO and management team.
- Leading the development of performance management frameworks.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure alignment of plans and activities.
- Conducting policy analysis and research to provide evidence-based recommendations to management.
- Preparing and presenting periodic reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, highlighting progress and performance.
- Developing and maintaining tools and methodologies for effective planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Represent the Fund in external forums and partnerships.
- Developing and maintaining tools and methodologies for effective planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Building capacity within the division through mentorship and supervision of staff.
- Preparing periodic reports
Qualification and Experience
- Master’s Degree in either Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field from institution accredited by NCHE.
- 5 years’ experience in corporate communication or public relations, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
