Nkhatabay District Council
Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates
to fill the following vacant posts existing at Nkhatabay District Council.
1. LEGAL OFFICER
Grade: H/M5
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: District Commissioner
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in Possession of a Bachelors degree in Law obtained from accredited institutions
and must be admitted to the BAR.
2. SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Grade: I/M6
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Senior Sports Development Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Senior Assistant Sports Development Officer (Grade J/M7) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade or in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science in Community Development or Sports Management obtained from accredited institutions.
3. CHIEF CLINICAL TECHNICIAN
Grade: HI/M6
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Senior Medical Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Senior Clinical Technician (Grade J/M7) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities.
4. PERSONAL SECRETARY
Grade: I/M6
Location: Nkhatabay District Council
Responsible to: District Commissioner
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Senior Personal Secretary (Grade J/M7) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities or in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Studies
and must have 120 words per minute short hand certificate and 50 words per minute typing certificate obtained from accredited institutions.
5. NUTRITION AND HIV OFFICER
Grade: I/M6
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Principal Nutrition and HIV Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Nutrition or Food Science obtained from accredited institutions.
6. CHIEF CLINICAL TECHNICIAN (OBS AND GYNA)
Grade: HI/M6
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Senior Medical Officer (OBS&GYNA)
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Senior Clinical Technician (OBS and GYNA) (Grade J/M7) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities.
7. SENIOR COMMUNITY NURSE
Grade: HJ/M7
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Community Nursing Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Community Nurse (Grade K/M8) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities.
8. SENIOR DENTAL TECHNICIAN
Grade: HJ/M7
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Dentist
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Dental Technician (Grade K/M8) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities.
9. ASSISTANT WATER MONITORING OFFICER
Grade: K/M8
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Water Monitoring Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be serving Senior Water Monitoring Assistant (Grade L/M9) with a minimum of four (4) year’s experience at that grade in Local Authorities or in possession of a Diploma in Water Supply Management and Sanitation or Community Development obtained from accredited institutions.
10. ASSISTANT AGRICULTURE PLANNING OFFICER
Grade: K/M8
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Agriculture Planning Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Project Management or statistics obtained from accredited institutions.
11. ASSISTANT YOUTH OFFICER
Grade: K/M8
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Youth Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Youth Development or Social Work obtained from accredited institutions.
12. ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS OFFICER
Grade: K/M8
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Environmental Affairs Officer
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Environmental Management or Natural Resources obtained from accredited institutions.
13. NURSE MIDWIFE TECHNICIAN
Grade: K/M8
Location: Nkhatabay District council
Responsible to: Senior Nurse Midwife Technician
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Nursing Midwifery obtained from accredited institutions and must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.
