Job Description
To grow and retain client relationships as per allocated segment/sector portfolio (e.g., Commercial Banking, Agribusiness, Public Sector; and Africa China Banking). To execute on the segment/sector offering, related toolbox(es), initiatives and activities aimed at optimising both client experience and profitability for the bank.
Qualifications
Experience Required
- Holder of a First Degree in Business Commerce (Business Administration, Finance and Accounting).
- 5-7 year’s Banking experience- (Relationship Banking -Client Coverage)
- Relationship management experience as a Business Banker or Relationship Manager.
- Experience in dealing with customers at all levels. Significant product knowledge including specialized products and financial structures.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control and client financial analysis.
- Experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications is essential.
Essential Functions
- Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Financial Advisory & Consultation – Provide expert guidance on financial products and services tailored to client goals, helping them make informed decisions.
- Business Development & Acquisition – Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the client base and strengthening market presence.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation – Evaluate financial risks, implement strategies to safeguard client interests, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Portfolio & Account Management – Oversee client accounts, ensuring proper structuring, monitoring performance, and aligning with financial objectives.
- Sales & Revenue Generation – Drive revenue growth by promoting relevant banking solutions, cross-selling services, and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Market Analysis & Strategic Planning – Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and economic shifts to refine business approaches.
- Collaboration & Cross-Selling – Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions, ensuring seamless service and client satisfaction.
