Machine Operator

PlastiCycle Malawi is hiring an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing team.

We are a forward-thinking plastic recycling company committed to reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy. Our facility processes HDPE and PP plastic into high-quality recycled plastic pellets, with a monthly capacity of up to 240 tonnes. We’re on a mission to replace imported virgin plastic with sustainable, locally sourced alternatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain plastic recycling machinery
• Set up machines for daily operations
• Monitor product quality and ensure consistency
• Perform regular machine maintenance and use hand tools appropriately
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a machine operator
• Background in plastic manufacturing or recycling industry
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient with machinery and quality control processes
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety
• Hardworking, dedicated, and genuinely interested in the industry and our mission
