Jacaranda Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to provide free Preschool, Primary and Secondary education in Malawi. Jacaranda Foundation is inviting applications from suitable qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Human Resources Manager.
Reporting to: The Executive Director
Immediate subordinates: Human Resources Officers, Departmental Heads and Centre supervisor
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Handling recruitment and selection of employees
2. Implementing the Foundation’s remuneration policy and procedures.
3. Advising line managers on employee relations and legal matters
4. Establishing and maintaining a proper working relationship among employees
5. Providing adequate training programmes for the induction of new recruits and training and development for managers and employees.
6. Maintaining adequate records of employees.
7. Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with the Foundation’s goals and objectives
8. Monitoring training needs and developing and managing training plans.
9. Ensuring compliance with Employment related laws and regulations.
10. Managing employee relations
11. Enforcing policies and Disciplinary procedures
12. Developing and managing performance management systems
13. Developing and managing employee engagement
14. Managing HR Budgets and providing reports to the Executive Director
15. Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR related matters.
16. Managing Disciplinary Matters and Grievances
17. Handling all labour issues involving the Foundation
AGE: Between 30 and 45 preferably
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management obtained from an accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
