Our approach to care aims at improving the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problems associated with life-threatening illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of early identification, assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psychosocial and spiritual.
Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and energetic Interns to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a positive impact on the lives of the terminally ill patients and their families. Ndi Moyo has one internship vacancy for Pharmacy Technician/Assistant and one for IT Support Technician
IT Support Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support across our organization. Your duties will include administering Linux (Ubuntu Server 22.04), Windows Server 2012, managing a Moodle instance, facilitating online meetings and conferences, and recording sessions. Additionally, you will provide first-line desktop support for Windows 10, 11, Ubuntu, and Raspberry Pi users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server Administration:

- Administer Ubuntu Server 22.04 and Windows Server 2012.
- Manage system updates, security patches, and configurations.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Experience with open-source hypervisors like Proxmox.
- Ability to migrate physical servers to virtual machines on Proxmox.
- Network Maintenance:
- Implement and maintain structured cabling systems.
- Configure and maintain MikroTik routers for WiFi mesh networks.
- Install, configure, and maintain Starlink satellite internet systems.
- Moodle Support:
- Maintain and troubleshoot the Moodle instance.
- Provide user support and training on the platform.
- Online Collaboration:
- Facilitate online meetings and conferences using Jitsi.
- Record sessions using OBS Studio for future reference.
- Desktop Support:
- Provide first-line support for Windows 10, 11, Ubuntu, and Raspberry Pi users.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Install and configure software.
- Assist with network connectivity and printer issues.
- Data Entry
- Assist in data entry into the DHIS 2
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with Moodle LMS.
- Proficiency in Jitsi and OBS Studio.
- Experience with open-source hypervisors like Proxmox.
- Ability to migrate physical servers to virtual machines.
- Experience with structured cabling, WiFi mesh networks (MikroTik), and Starlink satellite internet.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
