Director of Postal Services – Grade M2
The Job
Report directly to the Postmaster General the Director of Postal services will provide for the delivery of all MPC services, revenue generation, and the provision of strategic leadership, direction, and guidance on all Postal services. He/she will lead the implementation of the Postal-related turnaround strategy projects and activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing, reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring policies, plans, strategies, systems, procedures, and processes on postal services.
- Defining key result areas for the Directorate.
- Developing resource mobilizing strategies and monitoring implementation.
- Providing leadership in efficient, and reliable service delivery in all MPC outlets
- Representing the Corporation on postal services matters involving the Government, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative links within and with other similar institutions on matters of postal business development including airlines, customs and other postal and logistics players
- Developing, implementing and maintaining sound postal risk management mechanisms.
- Preparing budget and monitoring its implementation.
- Preparing timely and detailed reports on postal services performance on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensure the provision of training to postal services managers and staff.
- Guide the implementation of postal services. Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s in Business Administration or Economics
- Eight (8) years of relevant postal services experience at senior management level.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of successfully driving and implementing postal or business-related initiatives, delivering measurable results.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve the directorate and the corporation’s strategic objectives.
- Proficiency in postal management methodologies and tools will be an added advantage.
Remuneration package
The successful candidates will be offered a negotiated performance based contract for three years, with an attractive salary benefits and gratuity package commensurate with the seniority of the role.
