Job Purpose and Key responsibilities

 

  Job purpose
  Managing and growing relationships between Britam and its current and future direct clients and agencies
  Key responsibilities
1. 1.        Identify leads and make sales pitch

2.       Develop and maintaining good working relationships with intermediaries and direct clients

3.       Participate in the introduction of new products through regular visits and frequent communication with intermediaries and direct clients

4.       Respond to queries and concerns from clients

5.       Servicing existing clients

6.       Follow up on renewals for general insurance business

7.       Follow up premium collections

8.      Forward proposal forms to underwriting department and follow up for accurate execution.

9.       Ensure credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products

10.   Credit control management of general insurance debtors

11.     Provide coaching and training to brokers and independent agents

12.    Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

·         Accountable to the Sales Manager / Branch Manager

·         Required to liaise and work closely with the other business heads as may be necessary

 

External Relationships:

·         Regulatory Authorities

·         Insurance sector players

·         Britam Customers

 

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

 

  Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
1. 2.       Bachelor’s degree (marketing option preferred). Masters is an added advantage.

3.       Diploma in sales and marketing or CIM qualification

4.       Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII,  FLMI, or AIIK)

5.       Five years’ experience in a similar position two of which should be in a supervisory position
