Community Initiative for Self Reliance (CISER) is
a Malawian Non-Governmental Organization
committed to social-economic empowerment of
the rural people through implementation of
various demand-driven sustainable development
interventions. Currently the organization is
operating in Mangochi District only with a
mission is to enhance self-reliance among rural
communities through provision of advocacy and
support to the community members in a holistic
manner and in accordance with the needs and
capacities of the community.
We have a job opening and invite applications
from suitably qualified persons for the post of;
Accounts Assistant
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
Reconciling finance accounts
Maintaining spread sheets
Managing daily post in and out
Receiving and processing all invoices, expense
forms and requests for payment
Filing and book keeping
Managing petty cash transactions
Qualifications and Attributes
A minimum of Certificate in Accounting from a
recognized institution
Basic understanding of accountancy and book-
keeping
A good command of spread sheets
Good organisational skills and ability to work
under minimum supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills – to deal with
customers and external contacts
