Head Coach
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) invites applications from qualified coaches for the position of Head Coach of the Malawi national football team (“The Flames”)
Roles and responsibilities of the Head Coach will be among others include To be in charge of the training and coaching of the Malawi Senior National Football Team for all international competitive and friendly matches, To select players for the Malawi Senior National Football Team under his management, Plannification and Periodisation for the training programmes and training camps of the Malawi Senior National Football Team, To plan for official international matches and tournaments as well as international friendly matches as part of training and team building exercise, To monitor the performance of players at club level within Malawi and abroad for consideration for final assessment during training camps, to provide at all times positive and effective leadership of the Malawi Senior National Football Team, To meet specific deliverables that may be set out and presented by the Football Association of Malawi
Must have a high level of football coaching licence such as UEFA “A”, UEFA “B” or FIFA Pro-licence, Must have a wealth of coaching experience either at club level of national level and must have a proven track record as a successful coach, Must demonstrate ambitious plans to make the Malawi Senior National Football Team successful over a given period of time and have passion for the game, Must be a person of high integrity, well mannered, a self starter and a team player, Must demonstrate vast knowledge of the game and be equipped with modern football tactics, Must be able to analyse matches and player performance data and devise strategies to enhance player performance therefore, must be able to devise a competitive game plan to yield positive results for home and away matches, must be able to design innovative training methods that will reinforce a dynamic coaching style and bring sound tactical discipline to the team, Must be able to formulate
comprehensive reports relating to the progress of the team
