Malawian Airlines is the national flag carrier that operates B737-800 and Q400 aircrafts having direct flights to regional cities of Johannesburg; Lusaka; Harare; Dar es Salaam and Nampula; besides daily domestic flights between Lilongwe and Blantyre. JUNIOR AIRCRAFT MATERIAL CONTROLLER
The position holder will be reporting to the Aircraft Material Controller
BASIC FUNCTIONS
• Receive aircraft parts from vendor or supplier and appropriately bin parts and tools.
• Control minimum stock level of aircraft parts and timely re order
• Follow manufacturer instructions during receiving/shelving and issuing
• Avail parts as per technicians requirement and facilitate airplane ground time to be minimum
• Control shelf life of units and calibration date of tools
OTHER ATTRIBUTES
• Ability to use Microsoft offices ( Word, Excel & Internet)
• Good communication skills
• Working knowledge on specialized software platform is also advantageous.
QUALIFICATION
• Diploma in Material Management or Supply Chain Management or Purchasing plus not less than 3years hands on experience.
• Those with Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management plus 5years hands on experience will also be considered.
• Aged 25 to 30 years.
