JOB OVERVIEW & PRIMARY PURPOSE
Reporting to the Group Business Development Executive (Portfolio Investments & Partnerships), the ideal candidate will focus on coordination of stakeholders to ensure implementation of Group Synergies business development initiatives.
SECONDARY PURPOSE
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identification and translation of market opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve Group revenue profit target.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and Translates Group Business Development Strategy into measurable targets.
- Leads collaboration of Business Development activities that cut across Group companies
- Identifies key clients across the Group and provides reports on portfolio performance across the Group.
- Reports on Performance of key clients and performance of the client’s sector, flagging any potential risks that may affect the client’s performance and/or opportunities that the NICO Group can leverage on.
- Identifies, or follows through on, opportunities to develop a strategic pipeline for the Group and proposes evidence-based strategies to support client value propositions and acquisition.
- Support Sales Team across the group in customer acquisition through targeting prospects via segmentation techniques
- Ensure all data sources are leveraged to maximize value: Review data findings, analyze results and share recommendationsIdentify, develop, and follow through collaboration opportunities, track and monitor progress,
- Plan and Implement High Level Strategic business development meetings that will involve Group Executive and/or CEOs of operating companies.
- Develop ideas or contribute to initiatives that supports attainment of Group Synergies
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 Years’ practical experience in a Business Development, Sales or Client Relationship role (preferably within the financial services sector)
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- General understanding of financial services principles including insurance, banking, investments and asset management.
- Corporate and economic research capabilities.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Sector analysis and financial modelling skills are a strong plus
