Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Malawian candidates to fill the vacant position of Human Resources Assistant tenable at its Head Office in Blantyre.

Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in capturing and providing accurate and up-to-date Human Resources data/reports as well as providing support to staff recruitment and welfare.
The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Maintaining and updating employee personal files and managing the filing system
- Assisting in compilation of monthly Human Resources Reports
- Interpreting human resource policies, Terms and Conditions of Service and related regulations
- Implementing personnel decisions such as dismissals, terminations, transfers and promotions
- Maintaining an up-to-date database for all employees
- Assisting in conducting recruitment and selection of staff
- Assisting in managing and handling staff performance appraisals and pensions processes
- Providing secretarial services to the Disciplinary Committee
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field plus 2 years practical experience in Human Resources Management
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant Human Resources policies and Malawi’s labour laws.
- Strong verbal and personal communication skills Ability to produce reports Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Be honest and of good integrity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Be results oriented and attention detail.
- Should be a Team Player.
