Production Controller

Chibuku Products Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of opaque beer of Chibuku Shake- Shake, Chibuku Super and other non-alcoholic beverages such as Super Maheu, is inviting applications from passionate and self-motivated persons to fill the following vacant positions below:

PRODUCTION CONTROLLER

This position is tenable at Lilongwe Brewery. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Production Manager and will ensure Effective and efficient supervision and control of packaging department to ensure maximum output with cost effective practices in compliance with Brewery operating procedures.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ensure subordinates are effectively deployed during paid hours.
• Ensure that daily and weekly production Programmes are correctly followed.
• Ensure that physical carton stock count is completed daily.
• Ensure Timely reporting of Machine downtime.
• Ensure that damages and returns counted and recorded in register daily.
• Ensure that downtime/log sheets completed daily.
• Ensure that bottle breakages/carton damage maintained below company specification.
• Ensure that machine clearing procedures and housekeeping followed correctly.
• Ensure that empty crates are timeously removed and /or fed to ensure continuous process.
• Ensure that Brewery Operating procedures are complied with.
• Make sure that Attendance register is maintained correctly.
• Make sure that overtime requested is in compliance with company policy
• Make sure that overtime worked recommended in compliance with company policy.
• Ensure that absenteeism and late coming is documented.
• Record Verbal reprimands.
• Ensure that Beer loss is maintained at or below company specification.
• Record Waste material and amount/usage reduced.
• Ensure that Crate washer detergent is recorded and controlled within standards.
• Make sure that conditions of Service, policies and procedures complied with.
• Ensure that company’s communication procedures are adhered to.
• Make sure that protective clothing is worn at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping at required standards
• Ensure that Safety requirements are observed by all subordinates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• BSC in Food Science and Technology or BSC in Engineering.
• 1-year experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles. 
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• No criminal record
