The MEPA is inviting applications from suitable, highly qualified, experienced and motivated candidates to fill the position of Procurement and Disposal Officer, Assistant Supplies Officer and a Driver tenable at its secretariat situated in Mpico House opposite British Library, City Center Lilongwe.

ASSISTANT SUPPLIES OFFICER

JOB IDENTIFICATION FACTORS

Job Title: Assistant Supplies Officer
Dept./Division: Procurement and Disposal Unit
Grade: ME 6
Reporting to: Procurement and Disposal Officer
Responsible for : None

PURPOSE, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose of the Job

To provide the Authority’s procurement services

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Compiling Procurement requirements for standard off the shelf goods
  2. Compiling internal purchase requisitions from user sections.
  3. Preparing Local Purchase Orders.
  4. Following up undelivered items with suppliers
  5. Preparing progress reports.
  6. Maintaining procurement records.
  7. Participating in tender preparations up to tender opening
  8. Opening and closing Tender documents
  9. Carrying out any other relevant duties to the post

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Diploma in Procurement and supply Chain Management or Business Administration. CIPS Professional Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a busy organization
