Quality Assurance Supervisor

With a staff of over 590, we operate schools, businesses, farms and a construction enterprise.

Our Siebo Maria school feeding program provides a daily meal of Likuni Phala to 18,000 school children on every school day. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety in the production of Likuni Phala at our flour mill.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality checks and inspections at every stage of production.
• Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of quality assurance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Create a Food Safety Management System (FSMS). The FSMS shall comprise a series of policies, procedures and records in accordance with the ISO22000:2018 standard.
• Implementation of the FSMS. Develop a series of training and validation programmes to ensure the implementation of the FSMS.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and other applicable food safety systems.
• Provide guidance and support to production teams on quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities.
• Prepare and submit quality assurance reports to management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications (optional but beneficial): 1. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification. 2. ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 certification.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in food production.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations, such as Codex Alimentarius, FSMA, or local food safety laws.
