St. Andrews hospital is a non-profit organization under three arms of partnership — Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi, Medic Malawi (UK based major donor) and Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). The hospital is one of the fastest growing health institutions serving a population of 826,285 people with OPD, pediatric, male and female medical wards, maternity services, surgery department, nutrition rehabilitation unit, primary health care, HTC, eye and ART clinic
Position: Administrator
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between the Board of Management and St. Andrews staff
• Organize, direct, control of medical and health services and procurement in conjunction with the chief clinical officer and in relation to polices set by board of management and the trustees
• Plan budgets and set rates for health services
Education and Experience
• A degree/diploma in Business administration from a reputable university.
• Interested candidates must have at least 5 years experience in a similar position.
Position: Accountant
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering the annual budget and quarterly budget forecast and managing the cash flow
• Management and development of a team of accountants by providing a high-level of financial, taxation and business developments
Education and Experience
• A degree/diploma in Accountancy from a reputable university.
• Degree candidates should have at least 5 years experience in a similar position whilst diploma candidates at least 8 years.
Position: Human Resource Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Recruit, hire and evaluate medical and support staff
• Maintaining work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions and appraisals.
• Ensuring legal compliance, maintaining human resources record and employees benefit programs.
Education and Experience
• A degree/diploma in Human Resource Management from a reputable university.
• Interested candidates should have at least 5 years experience in a similar position.
The posts above are Senior Management positions grade (i) except for diploma candidates and are required immediately. The applicants should be sober-minded with high level of integrity in society. The institution needs candidates who can create a good working relationship with all the stakeholders. Interested candidates should be Malawians between the ages of 35-50 years for all the 3 posts.
