Position: Project Coordinator – DAPP MALAWI

DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for a position of Project Coordinator to implement TB/COVID-19 project interventions in Mulanje, Mangochi and Machinga districts aiming at increasing service seeking by the targeted population from the three districts and overcome barriers to TB/COVID-19 services.
Job summary/ responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership of the project activities in the three districts to secure that the project goals are reached with quality as per the agreed demands with the partner. Lead and supervise the work of project staff responsible for TB/COVID19 screening at the targeted Health Facilities and Community. He/she Provide technical support and guidance to all DAPP staff implementing TB/COVID 19 interventions taking place Mulanje, Mangochi and Machina districts. The Project Coordinator will also ensure that there is a good representation of the organization and the project in the district, and that there is good working relationship with the partners and stakeholders in the districts
Key Performance Areas
The Project Coordinator is expected to carry out the following tasks but not limited to: Planning, Reporting Coordination, collaboration, supervision and Implementation.
- Oversee the implementation of the project activities at the health facility and community according to donor expectations and is expected to identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner, suggest appropriate program adjustments and develop project improvement plans.
- Provide overall supervision for the implementation and integration of all TB/COVID 19 activities and provides overall direction to daily implementation plans to ensure all project goals are met.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the project activities and makes appropriate recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor the achievement of results, ensuring compliance of program indicators, by performing regular field visits in the catchment areas.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Public Health or related qualification
- At least 5 years of experience implementing NGO work at the health facility and community level.
- Strong organizational skills and willing to work long hours toward the attainment of program objectives and deliverables
- Hands on type of person, team player and builder, able to coordinate activities in a complex environment and be able to work under time pressure
- Demonstrable experience in supervising staff, administration, and managing resources.
- Proficient writing and verbal communication skills;
- Relevant Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Office
- Excellent Stakeholder engagement and management
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
