VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
DMI- St. John the Baptist University (DMISJBU) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who would like to apply for the following vacant academic positions available at the University. The positions are tenable in Mangochi, Lilongwe and
Blantyre campuses.

Academic Vacancies: Professor/Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I and Lecturer-II in the fields of Computer Sciences, Social Work, Commerce, Management, Education, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Mathematics and History. A minimum of Masters or PhD degree in any of the disciplines indicated above from an accredited or recognized institution by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). For a Professor to Lecture I position, holding of a PhD is mandatory
Campus-wise vacancy positions:
Mangochi Campus: 5 PhD holders and 5 Masters degree holders in Education; 1 PhD holder in Management or Administration and 1 PhD holder in Commerce, respectively; 2 PhD holders in Social Work; and 1 Masters degree holder in Library information Sciences.
Lilongwe Campus: 4 PhD holders in Computer Sciences; 3 PhD holders in Management or Administration and 1 Masters degree holder in Commerce, respectively; 3 PhD holders and 2 Masters degree holders in Social Work; and 1 Masters degree holder in Library information
Sciences.
Blantyre Campus: 3 PhD and 5 Masters’ degree holders in Computer Sciences; and 1 Masters degree holder in Library Information Sciences.
Remuneration:
Remuneration will be based on qualification; work experience and Fields of Specializations, the ranges of remuneration for these positions will be as follows:
• Professor : MK1,600,000 to MK2,120,000
• Associate Professor : MK1,400,000 to MK1,788,750
• Senior Lecturer : MK1,233,750 to MK1,523,750
• Lecturer I : MK1,057,500 to MK1,325,000
• Lecturer II : MK581,625 to MK857,850
