Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a locally registered NGO that has been operating in Malawi since 1995. Our mission is to work with communities by promoting social and economic development through health, education training, food security and environmental programs. Our work towards development is guided by social cohesion and respect for humanity, driven by innovative and cost-effective programs. Through a variety of development models, DAPP complements the government’s effort in implementing the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.

 

The idea of DAPP Malawi Teacher Training program is to train local Malawi male and female youths to become primary school teachers for the rural areas of Malawi, teachers who are highly qualified and trained in teaching as well as community development and are professionally well founded to energetically think that learners in primary school all have the potential to become skilled and productive members of society.

An opportunity has risen for interested applicants to fill in the existing vacant positions of lecturer in DAPP Teacher Training Colleges. The lecturer should be capable of teaching a combination of two learning areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all aspects of the teaching of the subjects you are allocated to teach which include but not limited to; lesson planning, resource development, teaching and updating of teaching professional records.
  • Be in the forefront to lift standards in order that the training program is fully implemented and that National Standards for Teacher Education are maintained.

Qualification and Attributes

  • Be highly disciplined and self motivated, should have T2 certificate with at least 3 years primary school teaching experience and an academic minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree in education.
