VACANCIES
Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates to fill the vacancies in the Health Department of Livingstonia Synod tenable at Embangweni, Ekwendeni and David Gordon Memorial (DGM) Hospitals
Job title : Principal Hospital Administrators –Grade G
Reporting to : The Medical Officer In-charge
Location : Embangweni, Ekwendeni & DGMH
MAIN DUTIES:
• Provide strategic direction to the hospital, defining goals and setting targets in liason with Departmental heads.
• supervise the accountant and scrutinize financial reports
• ensure adequate interpretation and implementation of hospital human resource policies and Procedures
• Coordinate the development and advancement of hospital manpower and chair some hospital committees.
• ensure regular inspection and maintenance of the hospital buildings, control equipment and Medical supplies
• Supervise the provision of office support services and ensure the availability of resources and facilities.
• Represent the hospital management on all hospital administrative matters.
Qualification and Experience
• A minimum of Degree in any Administrative Studies preferably Business Administration and Public Administration obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning
• Ability to interpret human resource policies and financial reports
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Those with experience in the health sector will have added advantage
• Applicants should be conversant with the Malawi labour Laws and with up to date conflict resolution skills.
• Have strong analytical and time management skills, be conscientious and result oriented.
• Applicants must be of mature character, responsible, committed and practising Christian.
