POSITION: Logistics Manager
Location: Neno / Mwanza, Blantyre
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics operations, including transportation and distribution, to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of business needs and delivery schedules.
Lead and manage logistics teams by providing direction, mentorship, and support to enhance performance and productivity.
Ensure adherence to all legal, safety, and industry standards governing transportation, warehousing, and distribution, while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, with a demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and achieve measurable results.
Additional Requirements
In-depth understanding of logistics operations, including transportation methods, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, recognize trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate, develop, and coordinate staff effectively.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and collaboration.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
