Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Employee Relations function, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Drive the resourcing and talent acquisition agenda to attract and retain high-performing staff.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and performance.
- Oversee policy compliance, record management, and HR administration in line with best practices.
- Coordinate and deliver Learning & Development programs that build capability and support succession planning.
- Promote and monitor Health, Safety, and Wellness programs in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to enhance service delivery across the region.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an HR practitioner or business partner role.
- Proven experience working within a labour-intensive and unionised environment is an added advantage.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage HR budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated success in large-scale recruitment campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge of Malawi Labour Legislation, HR policies, systems, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic objectives, drive change, and foster teamwork.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and strong computer literacy.
