Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Employee Relations function, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Drive the resourcing and talent acquisition agenda to attract and retain high-performing staff.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and performance.
  • Oversee policy compliance, record management, and HR administration in line with best practices.
  • Coordinate and deliver Learning & Development programs that build capability and support succession planning.
  • Promote and monitor Health, Safety, and Wellness programs in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to enhance service delivery across the region.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an HR practitioner or business partner role.
  • Proven experience working within a labour-intensive and unionised environment is an added advantage.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage HR budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in large-scale recruitment campaigns.
  • Excellent knowledge of Malawi Labour Legislation, HR policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic objectives, drive change, and foster teamwork.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and strong computer literacy.
