About Us

Liwiro Finance Limited is a fast-growing, digital-first lending, non-deposit taking finance institution in Malawi, providing accessible financial solutions to underserved customers. MalaKwacha is our payroll-based loan product designed for civil servants, with repayments made through payroll deduction. We are expanding our distribution through an agent-based model and are looking for a strong leader to build and scale this channel.

Role Overview

The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling a nationwide agent network to drive loan origination for MalaKwacha, while ensuring high portfolio quality, compliance, and cost efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining sales, recruitment, training, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agent Network Development: Recruit and onboard new agents; build team hierarchy; ensure growth.

  • Sales & Business Growth: Drive loan applications and disbursement volumes; monitor conversion and productivity.

  • Training & Capacity Building: Design training programs; standardize scripts and processes

  • Risk & Compliance Management: Prevent fraud and misrepresentation; enforce company policies.

  • Performance Management: Track KPIs such as active agents, disbursement volume, and default rate.

  • Field Operations: Conduct field visits and support agents.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years in agent-based sales, distribution, or field sales team management.

  • Must be more than 30 years old

  • Have managed a team of at least 20 people.

  • Skills: Strong recruitment ability, training capability, KPI management, integrity, execution focus.

  • Preferred: Experience in payroll loans, existing agent network, insurance agent networks, understanding of civil servant ecosystem.
